Darkness Lost Its Place

“Where is the way to
the dwelling of light;”
which ends of earth caress?
Why do you question?
Poor tired soul sulks:
forlorn, forsaken, fruitless.
As pointless days eternal,
dawn in dust and ash sleep.
Encased by God’s dawning light;
during testing… awakens. Rise!

I write a quadrille poem, inspired by Job 38:19, for dVerse making sure to utilize the word dawn.

  1. The line between your words and the photo are perfectly blurred! You cannot tell where the poem ends and the picture begins; they are conjoined! Well done!

    Encased by the dawning, awaken…yes! The words pair beautifully with the photo, which is also stunning.

    Wireless well with the comment of Job, and could also work well as a Psalm.

    Lovely, lovely~ And Oh! that picture! Funny, on the advice of a dear friend….I am tonight reading gospel of John. Another dear friend, my chiropractor this afternoon agreed that John was a particularly good one to read. I have come late to this, but am inspired by conditions of life….and of Jesus’ love. Again, coming to this late in life. Job I will get to. Thank you for this very inspiring poem.

      That is a perfect place to start… don’t forget the popcorn… LOL Job’s better done in the spring time. It’s kinda sad until the end.
