The Light Shines Forth

THE LIGHT SHINES FORTH

In dabbling darkness,
bleakness becomes bliss
a crescendo climbs
a full moon’s shadow
across the World.

A full moon
in lunar phase
iridescent, illuminates
beyond shades of
twilight Earth.

‘tween the shining sun,
marvelous moon,
appears as a
generous circular disk
against inky orb.

  1. Indeed… the brightness of the moon need the darkness to really shine (which is what we don’t get in summer)

  3. Love the alliteration in the first stanza and this sounds like total solar eclipse.

I love how the light blooms in your quadrille, Pat, from the alliterative ‘dabbling darkness’ to the ‘a full moon’s shadow’ and then an ‘iridescent’ ‘marvelous moon’ – mmmm.
