The warmer weather has arrived with a bushelful of activities. Family and fun makes it difficult to spend time writing.

Some of my grandchildren are enjoying experimenting with the power of water. I hope they hold on to their curiosity when it comes to God’s Creation.

This is my last release, which, along with three other books, is now available in audio form. It’s exciting to hear someone, even though it’s AI, read a story I wrote.

Gardening keeps me enjoying the outdoors. This clematis is in full bloom. They can be fussy to grow, but once the correct spot is found, they show their appreciation.

Enjoy hanging around as summer approaches, and give God the glory for the things He has blessed you with.
Psalm 96:11-12
“Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.”

Scents of Spring
be dust, settling to the ground
resting in early morning sun;
do not bother to look around—
the scent of lilac blooms do fill
sweet May day air, now sleepy eyes
too tired, too tired to care
nuzzle in the lush green grasses;
smell sweet, subtle apple blossoms
as they rise high, high in disguise
God’s aromas, in their own class—
lovely rains have come and long gone
each drop they sing a special song
as I lie here without a care!

Ode to the Cran Apple Tree
ornamental apple tree
showing such a pretty bloom
dear, dizzy, dripping honey
in my cup off silver spoon
busy, bustling honey bees
gathered around clustered rooms
caressing, creating fruit
flowers disappear too soon
May winds blow petals now free
ballerina spins in grey gloom
eyes barely have time to blink
your dried flowers now a ruin

“The crabapple is a beautiful flowering deciduous tree that will grow to be 20 to 30 feet tall. The tree prefers full sun and well-drained but moist soil. It is hardy in zones 4 through 8. While fairly easy to grow, it can be susceptible to a variety of fungal infections. The crab is indeed beautiful and fragrant and provides a great food source for wildlife.”
“Crabapples have long been associated with love and marriage. It was said that if you throw the pips into the fire while saying the name of your love, the love is true if the pips explode. Apple wood was burned by the Celts during fertility rites and festivals, and Shakespeare makes reference to crab apples in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Love’s Labour Lost.” – Celtic Myth
“For You created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.” – Psalm 139:13-14

God Bless Until Next Time
